[Guide] Opcodes, Packets and Reversing

This guide is directed at people who know C/C++ and would like to work on finding or updating packet opcodes or structures but donâ€™t know where to begin. This is a collection of advice and information rather than a step by step guide. Certain level of problem solving skill is required.

For those that don't know blizzard accidentaly (most probably) released a mac version for 13850 with debug info http://dump.tanaris4.com/WoWBinaries/WoW410_13850.zip , insanely useful

Does someone have the file and can rehost it? I never found a guide that explains how opcode names and structures are found.
