Where to look for unusual wedding bands?

Well, the day has finally come and we're officially in wedding-planning mode. My fiancée has decided that the rings are the first thing we need to sort out, and plain classic bands aren't really doing anything for her. She wants something a little more original, preferably with stones and some detail in the design, while still looking like a wedding ring rather than a cocktail ring. I don't mind spending more for something we'll actually be happy to wear for years. Where would you search for wedding bands like that in the US?

Rings are one of those things where tiny details matter a lot more once they're actually on your hand every day. A stone setting can look great in photos but still catch on clothes or feel bulky next to an engagement ring. I'd start with an independent jeweler who does custom work and ask to see low-profile settings with sapphires or small diamonds worked into the band. That gives you more room to change the width, metal and stone layout without ending up with the same design everyone else has.

I'd also pay attention to how the two rings look together, because a beautiful band on its own can sit awkwardly next to the engagement ring. Curved bands, mixed stones or a slightly unusual setting can make the pair look much more intentional. You can check out some wedding bands here:
